Cupping

Cupping

Promote healing and relieve pain

A variety of methods are used to apply cups to the skin which create a gentle suction over the affected area. Where a massage applies pressure to the muscle, cupping is the inverse but is often reported to feel similar. It has many applications but is most often used to relieve pain. It encourages blood flow, detoxification and creates a healing response. The style of cupping is determined on several factors including the patient’s condition and the desired outcome.

A little piece of my family history: My grandmother, in a small village in the mountains of Greece, used cupping to treat my father when he was sick.
